Auto Pivot Points All In One Indicator for MT4 and MT5

Written by Dominic Walsh · Published · Last updated

Most pivot tools space their bands with addition and subtraction. The auto pivot points.all in one indicator uses fractions instead. Each band sits a Fibonacci share of yesterday’s range away from the middle, which is worth knowing before you compare its levels against another chart.

This build ships as a compiled .ex4 for MT4 and .ex5 for MT5; the screenshots below come from EURUSD H1.

Platforms MT4 (.ex4) + MT5 (.ex5)
Chart window Main price chart
Plots 7: PP, R1, R2, R3, S1, S2, S3
Alerts popup, push notification, email, sound
Inputs 6

What gets drawn, and where

Seven lines, no marks at all.

`PP` runs gold at width 2.

`R1`, `R2` and `R3` run tomato above it.

`S1`, `S2` and `S3` run medium sea green below.

The three bands sit at widening distances.

Nothing appears in a separate pane.

  • PP: line, gold, width 2
  • R1: line, tomato
  • R2: line, tomato
  • R3: line, tomato
  • S1: line, medium sea green
  • S2: line, medium sea green
  • S3: line, medium sea green

How each value gets built

The middle first

One average sets it. Yesterday’s high, low and close added together, divided by three. Every other line is measured out from that single price.

Fibonacci spacing

Fractions of the range do the rest. The first pair sits at 0.382, the second at 0.618 and the third at a full 1.000 of yesterday’s high minus low.

Finding yesterday

It walks back through the bars. The code scans until the day changes, then takes that day’s own high, low and close. No daily-timeframe call is needed.

How to follow it

Wide spacing between bands means yesterday ran far.

Compressed bands describe a quiet previous day.

The gold middle is the price both sides pivot around.

Reaching the third band is unusual in one session.

Colour tells you which side of the middle a line sits.

Bands hold their values for the whole session.

Alert channels in this build: popup, push notification, email and sound.

`EnableAlerts` covers the tool’s messages and ships true with `EnablePopup`. Switch `EnablePushNotify` for a phone, `EnableEmail` for mail, or `EnableSound` to play `SoundFile`. Those three arrive off.

Which chart earns the most from it

Seven flat lines need room between them to be readable. EURUSD H1 is the reference chart. The bands sit far enough apart there to name at a glance. On M5 only the inner pair matters. On daily bars the whole set collapses onto one candle.

Where it disappoints

Fibonacci spacing differs from the classic method, so levels will not match another chart.

A quiet yesterday puts all six bands within a few pips.

Nothing signals here, so the lines are reference only.

A weekend gap can open the session past the third band.

FAQ

How does the R2 band get its distance?

By taking 0.618 of yesterday’s high minus low and adding it to the middle price. That is a Fibonacci fraction rather than the doubling used in classic pivots, which is the defining difference in this build.

Will the PP line match another pivot chart?

The middle will, because it is the same average of high, low and close. The six bands around it will not, since they are spaced by fractions rather than by the classic formula.

Where does the R3 band actually sit?

A full range above the middle. Yesterday’s entire high-to-low distance gets added, which puts it beyond where most sessions travel and makes a touch there genuinely unusual.

Does the tool call the daily timeframe?

No. It walks back through the bars on your own chart until the day changes, then reads that day’s high, low and close. That keeps everything on one series and avoids a second data request.

Are results guaranteed?

No. Trading involves risk. Results are not guaranteed; past performance is not indicative of future results. Use the Auto Pivot Points. All In One Indicator as one input. Always backtest before trading live.
