MMXM ICT Indicator Access Indicator for MT4 and MT5

Written by Dominic Walsh · Published · Last updated

ICT’s market maker models describe price running liquidity, shifting structure, then delivering. The mmxm ict indicator access indicator tracks the two latest swing highs and lows and marks three events from that story: a break of structure, a change of character, and a sweep of equal highs or lows. It also dots the order block behind each mark.

This build ships as a compiled .ex4 for MT4 and .ex5 for MT5; the screenshots below come from EURUSD H1.

The recipe

Structure

`PivotStrength` `3` bars on each side confirm a swing inside `StructureLookback` `50` bars. Higher highs with higher lows mean up-trend.

Events

A close through the latest swing high is a break of structure; in a down-trend it is a change of character. A wick through equal lows that closes back above is a sweep.

Equal levels

`LiquidityTolerance` `5` points decides when two swing lows count as equal. `OrderBlockDepth` `30` bars are searched for the block behind a mark.

How to interpret it

A lime mark means structure or liquidity favours buyers.

A red mark means the opposite.

Dots show the candle the move started from.

Marks never stack on neighbouring bars.

`ShowLiquiditySweeps` adds the sweep events.

Warm-up needs about fifty-five bars.

Alert channels in this build: popup, push notification, email and sound, one message per closed bar.

Structure events report once per closed bar through `EnableAlerts`, with the popup the only route active out of the box.

Best home for this one

Structure events happen on every chart, but ICT traders read them on H1 and below. EURUSD H1 is the reference chart. On M15 the marks track intraday shifts. On H4 they mark the larger swings.

Where the method fails

One mark covers three different events.

Five points is tight for equal levels on volatile pairs.

The full MMXM model has phases this tool does not track.

Messages go out as popups only at first.

Copy the compiled MMXM ICT Indicator access Indicator file into your MQL4/Indicators folder, and the MT5 build into MQL5/Indicators, then restart the terminal and drag it onto a chart. The step-by-step guide with screenshots is at how to install MT4 and MT5 indicators.

FAQ

Which three events can trigger an MMXM Buy?

A close above the latest swing high, the same break during a down-trend, which ICT calls a change of character, or a wick through equal lows that closes back above them.

What does LiquidityTolerance 5 count as equal?

Two swing lows, or highs, within five points of each other. Stops tend to gather under such double bottoms, which is why a sweep of them matters.

What are the Bullish OB dots?

They mark the last bearish candle within thirty bars before a buy mark. That candle is the order block the move started from, in ICT terms.

Does the MMXM Buy logic cover every model phase?

No. It marks the structure and liquidity events the model is built on, but it does not label the accumulation, manipulation or distribution phases themselves. Read those from the chart.

Are results guaranteed?

No. Trading involves risk. Results are not guaranteed; past performance is not indicative of future results. Use the MMXM ICT Indicator access Indicator as one input. Always backtest before trading live.
