Turn Prices Into Changes
Add a third column for the daily percent change of the first market. Add a fourth for the second one.
Now use those two change columns, never the raw prices. This one step strips out most of the false links people report.
Run the Number on Two Windows
Ask your sheet for the link between the two change columns. Do it once over the last twenty days, then again over the last two hundred.
Compare the two answers. A wide gap tells you the link shifts with the window, which is the whole point of the test.

Save the sheet and add a fresh row each month. After a year you own a record of how much the link drifts.
